Review: Marcelle HYDRA-C Cleansing + Exfoliating Cloths

Earlier this month I posted about the new releases from Marcelle coming out for August.

Today its time to review one of them - the cleansing cloths - which was provided by Marcelle for me to try.

REVIEW:

I was thinking when I started writing this - how much can you write about cleansing cloths? Either it cleanses or it doesn't right? LOL

Well the HYDRA-C cloths mostly does what it says it will - takes off the daily grime in a jiffy. I used it to take off make-up - and it cleaned everything up pretty nicely.

 

Now here is my one problem - I can't figure out which side is the textured and which side is smoother? Honestly I can't say one side feels more smoother than another. 

 

Maybe its my thick skin? Maybe I am too dumb to figure it out? Either way I can't tell.

 

While this cleanses and removes regular make-up fairly well, I would not recommend this for the eye area - it feels a bit too rough for my eyelids. I personally always use a separate cleanser and cotton pads to remove any eye makeup - it has nothing to do with which brand or type of facial cleanser I use, its just something I do. I do admit I tired very gently to remove a bit of mascara from my eyelashes , but I didn't find it very effective.

 

The cloths themselves stay moist for quite awhile after you take them out of the pack; I have had issues with some cleansing cloths that seem to dry out in a minute after you take them out so these are quite good in that regard. 

The size is also nice - big enough to take off everything in one go. Unless you have a Kim Kuntdashian-type makeup going I think 1 to at most 2 cloths should serve most users well. 

 

The other thing I noticed - it didn't dry out my already very dry skin. So I think this would work for most skin types. There is also a very slight scent when you take them out - I can't place it - but nothing overwhelming. Honestly it evaporates within a few seconds. Just wanted to mention it though.

 

VERDICT: 3.5/5 - Not at all a bad buy if you are looking for something quick and easy to take off the daily dirt. Also great for those nights when you don't want to spend 20 mins going through a long make-up removal session. Because it has exfoliating properties this actually would be a great way to pack light for a short trip somewhere as well.
